Wedding season may be in full swing, but now is a great time to plan for 2016 success. With that in mind I wanted to share the latest stats and trends that WeddingWire gathered from engaged couples and newlyweds.
• Summer is also engagement season. Winter is still the peak time for engagements, but 24% of proposals happen between June and August. Make sure you’re still focusing on reaching newly-engaged couples – they’re the reason you’ll have a successful 2016 (not to mention fall and winter deposits!).

• Couples start planning right away. You know today’s couples are tech-savvy, planning their weddings online and on mobile. But do you know how quickly they start? 49% of our couples visit WeddingWire within one month of their engagement – some even before they say “yes!”
• Budgets can be flexible. Most couples have a budget, but 74% of newlyweds reported going over their projected wedding costs. Only 16% stayed under their allotted amount, so don’t be afraid to talk price.
