22 Year Old Photo Booth Business Owner

22 year old business owner

Kelvin, age 22yrs old and his mom, run their own photo booth business called Capture Me Smiles. His mom handles most of the bookings, but Kelvin is the one that runs the booth and goes to events to work the booth.

He came into our showroom to get his booth looked at because they accidentally restored their computer and needed to get it reprogramed. He needed his booth fixed and ready to go for a wedding gig that he had later in the day. He wants to someday run his own shots and have his own business, so this is a good way to step up the ladder to get the experience and tools that he needs.

He started posting his events on social media, and that is where he’s gotten the most exposure. Friends on social media have noticed his gigs online and have asked for his services for their events. One of the tips that he gives to people who want to start their own business is to do their research because there are so many options out there, you just need to find the right one that fits your needs.

One of the things that caught his eye on Photo Booth International was the variety of products that we had to offer when it comes to photo booths. He decided to purchase the PBI 12 from us because its small, portable and fits well in his car to transport to different events.  One of the most important parts when it comes to a business to Kelvin was finding a name for their business, because once a name is set, that’s when a business is finally born. He says one of the member area parts that really helped him was the Facebook social group page. Where customers can share ideas, help with troubleshooting and he says that everyone on there is very helpful when it comes to working a booth.

Kelvin’s advice to anyone who wants to get into the photo booth business is to set a goal, even if its a short-term goal or a long-term goal it’s always important to set a goal, so it allows you to motivate yourself to go above and beyond to achieve greater things and have something to look forward to.
